Looking for an original GM 40725 fuel pump for a documented 03B‑built 1968 Camaro SS‑350 with a 2 March 1968 engine assembly date.
I will consider any of the following: 1️⃣ Date‑Coded Assembly‑Line 40725 Pump * Must be stamped 40725 * Must have an original rolled‑crimp canister * Looking for date codes in this window: 350‑7 through 055‑8 (late Dec ’67 → late Feb ’68) * Prefer clean survivor condition, but light wear is fine * No remanufactured pumps, no smooth service‑era canisters 2️⃣ Restorable Survivor 40725 Pump * Original 40725 stamping * Original canister * Rebuildable core * Date code anywhere in 330‑7 through 061‑8 * Patina OK — the Camaro is a survivor 3️⃣ 40725 Core With Correct Canister (For Rebuild) * Must have original rolled‑crimp canister * Must be stamped 40725 * No reman tags, no riveted plates, no service‑replacement smooth canister * Any date code considered, but ’67–’68 preferred Why I’m Looking I intend on entering the car for Vintage Certification, and I’m documenting all components with a provenance binder. A correct 40725 pump is one of the few missing pieces. What I Can Offer * Strong cash buyer * Will pay market‑correct prices for the right piece * Also open to trades (NOS and GM service 41037 pumps available) Contact Please PM me with: * Photos of stamping * Date code * Canister close‑ups * Price * Any history you know about the pump |
