Try Krylon Dull Aluminum.

Krylon 1403 Dull Aluminum Metallic Paint -- I have used this and works well for a rattle can paint. TAZ

I might add I used it on Chevy rally wheels --

Re: Correct Argent Gray Wheel Paint
Wouldn't Krylon dull aluminum be much, much lighter than the dark argent used on SSII wheels?

Re: Correct Argent Gray Wheel Paint
Krylon dull aluminum is way too bright for the wheels.
As proof you can argue about anything, here's the link to classic olds.... there's a PPG number in there, a recommendation for Fusick's paint, and another comment that the Fusick paint came in an Eastwood can... http://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/...ray-shade.html

Re: Correct Argent Gray Wheel Paint
dull aluminum is NOT a good choice. That is used in areas suck as headlight housings or taillights. If you are not doing a judged car then the cast iron sprays out there would be closer if you don't want to mix a batch your self.

Re: Correct Argent Gray Wheel Paint
----I have successfully used 65-66 Corvette knock-off wheel paint from "Long Island Corvette" for the darker portions of Pontiac and Olds rally wheels. They have quarts as well as rattlers.....Bill S

Re: Correct Argent Gray Wheel Paint
Not all years Olds used the same color paint for the wheels.
1972 was closer to dull aluminum. |
