Alternator Restoration
Does anybody have any suggestions on where or who to talk to about restoring my original alternator? Thanks

I had excellent service from John Pirkel in Augusta, GA. That was 10 years ago so I do not have anything current for John.

John passed away a few years ago but his son, J. Pirkle Jr. still performs restorations.

I have a local shop that has been doing it for years who is just as good as any of these guys for half the price.
I always try to go local first.

I always try to go local first. </div></div> A client of mine was restoring his early 50's Austin Healey or something like that-can't remember what it was and he took the aluminum case generator to the local rebuilder. They fixed it but when he got it back they had put the case in a bench vice and put huge gouge marks in the case..needless to say he was not happy.

I bought and 837 from Bruno years ago, turned out to be a restamp (verified by Pirkle)He took it back and returned my $$
