the only other cars that got shipped this way were the 1967 nova's. That is why all their radiators leaked from new.

I don't think that was true on the Novas.
Vegas were designed for that shipping, called Vert-a-Pak, IIRC. Including battery vents and carb vents. JohnZ was there and helped empty the building and prep it for the Vega. I love these pics for the great sampling of the car colors.
