Very sad indeed.

I can't see the left front side but the car is riding on Eagle STs and they haven't made those tires in over a decade. I hope it wasn't a age-related tire failure.

I look at the pictures of this car and it brings back a lot of bad memories from back in my youth of friends being killed in muscle cars while racing on the street or just driving recklessly. I know I had a few extremely close calls myself. I personally am not buying the Tie Rod theory; A ten year old tire blowing out at high speed does makes sense...
