Default What are they worth?

Hi guys.

I am looking to find the value of original Yenko Valve covers for a big block Chevy. They are undoubtedly original, pressed with the Yenko-crest in the middle of the cover. I know a few members here have them, so I was hoping to get a rough idea of their worth. I am looking to sell them as I'll never use them on a car and would rather have Motion stuff (frankly).

Thanks,
Dan

Its funny you say that. I have an old pair of big block Motion valve covers that need restoring. They are the chromed ones with the trimmed emblems in them. Much rather have the Yenko covers.

Motion Valve covers are by far much more common than the Yenko covers, but I'm most certain we could work something out Brian. I'll shoot you a PM with my phone number.

Thanks,
Dan

Not at my house they aren't. I have a closet full of NOS chrome plated ones in sealed boxes. The bad thing about these is they won't fit a Camaro or Nova with power brakes unless you severely modify them. If they are the plain stamped steel variety (non-chromed) I would say an even swap for a pair of real finned aluminum Motion covers would be more than fair.

If they don't fit Camaro or Nova, did ol' Don just sell them for Chevelle?

Actually Don didn't sell 'em for any of those... they were made in the mid 70's about the same time they made the Yenko ZL1 blocks... mainly with racing in mind. They weren't available in 69.

Just look in people's backyards, you're sure to find a few pairs just laying around.
