Default Jarrettsville VFC 5th Annual Car & Truck Show 8/9

This show has been going strong for 5 years. And year after year, I find it amazing that participants begin showing up at 6:30 AM Saturday morning for this show. What I find even more amazing is some folks come in the night before to reserve parking spots on the lot! The show is advertised to start at 9 AM!

A buddy and I arrived a little after 7 AM to find about 20 cars on the lot already, with another 10 spots roped off. Just as last year, we were left with the far end of the MIDDLE parking spots, which suits us just fine!

The grounds has room for 225 cars, and they quickly fill it up, but won't PACK the cars in!

Tried to take pics of as many cars as I could without duplicating what you've seen already. However, I was asked to take pics of Maryland Chevelle Club Member's cars, so some of these will be familiar to you.

Also tried my best to keep the girls out of the pics.

What a GREAT story this Boss 302 has! Although the original owner is getting up there in years, he still drives this car every year to this show. With help from his daughter, they clean it up, set it up, and take time to talk to EVERYONE that stops by to look at it. No, it is not for sale.

This is the owner detailing this '66. She's a great lady!

Three years ago, I was tasked with re-assembling this car! It was bought in pieces, painted, and delivered to my buddy's shop. Taking about a year's worth of Saturday's I finally put it back together. My first Ford project. It is now his daughter's driver.

Green '70 belongs to a buddy, you know who the '69 belongs to.

She sneaked in the frame while I was taking the picture. Sorry, but the car is too nice to delete.

Thanks Bruce!

After the show, a few of us drove down to Baltimore to a Walmart cruise. This "gathering" is every Saturday night.

This a buddy's '70 Road Runner. He is the original owner. As soon as he bought it, he began upgrades to the interior, engine, and added graphics to the sides, then proceeded to show it on the ISCA Circuit. He only brings it out on good days, and this was one of them. And since he was bringing his Plymouth out, I had to bring the Chevelle down.

Original parts are safely stored in his garage!

My son guarding the cars.

The shot my buddy waited YEARS to get!

The owner of this car has a habit of getting us thrown out of cruise venues.

Guess this guy loves to drive this '69. It never stayed parked long enough for me to take a picture of it.

Another buddy from the MCC.

Don't know why the hood is closed, this Comet is nice from top to bottom!

That's how I spend my Saturday. And throughout the entire day, I didn't see a single Corvair. Sorry about that.

Thanks for posting all of those pics. Some dedicated cruisers out there. It IS hard to keep people from walking into the picure, I know.
Keep up the good work.
