Must be a pretty warm day to be out there barefoot. Love the curlers.

She must have a date.
Multitasking, fixin the hair and washing the bird. Great vintage photo! Just noticed - license plate frame says San Leandro which is just 30 minutes north of me, cool.

I love the blue on that bird w the white walls and ralleys that is a clean looking car what year was that photo? Is really clear almost so much so you’d think it was a reenactment .

I can only guess, but I'm thinking 1969 to 1971 just by the condition of the tires and the late issued 1969 CA "X" series plate. That car must have been a new left over or possibly a slightly used car in late 1969.

She would be in some trouble using that much water out in California these days. Standing in a big puddle with water draining down into the street would get her "Cancelled" today.
Sorry, Couldn't help it. Such a cool picture. |

Why? California is flushing all its water out to sea daily it’s not that California doesn’t have water it’s that they won’t conserve it. It’s because of an endangered species of some sort.

I've seen a whole bunch of '68 cars with X series California plates. From my observations I'd consider XAE to be early in the '68 calendar year.

You're right, for some reason I was thinking "Z" all along. My old '69 GTO was issued XQD in Dec of '68 and my '69 GP was issued XFZ in Nov of '68, but I understand the area of the assigning DMV affected use also.
