Default '68 Firebird 400HO/4-sp

Neat color combination, and a very nice restoration overall. One of 1415 produced with the 400HO, according to the seller.

Can someone familiar with 68 birds should have the vin cut out in the dash have square or rounded corners. I know a 69 Camaro has rounded but the repo dashes are square like this car but maybe 68 Birds are that way ?

Looking at a few other '68s on BAT, all are square.

Wow, nice looking car. I think I prefer the green exterior/gold interior combo to the gold exterior/green interior combo sometimes seen.

68 Camaro is square corners like this one. Would expect a bird to be the same in 68.

Post 68 Bird...

Really nice looking car...interesting they didn't spend a little more time on the underside of the front crossmember It really takes away from the presentation...still would look good in our garage

One of my pet peeves. Of course, the older I get, seems like the more I have.

Sadly, that is what most of the first gen subframes look like... even on a lot of the "restored" cars.

I have never understood why you wouldn't address that if you already have the frame off and you are doing all the other work.

Frame metal is much easier to work with than sheet metal, and way easier to weld. On this car, I don't know for a fact that they had the frame off; but the ad says "completely restored example"... I would have to disagree.

Still a car I would love to own. But then, I want one of almost everything.

Just my two cents.

And yes,
