Default 67 SS 427 Impala?

Found this car im not a fan of Impalas but looks like it was a cool car in its day. The car has 427 emblems on fenders enigine long gone, but has trans and 12 bolt posi. anything special to look for on these and is it worth saving?

That poor car looks really nice, and out of place.Almost as if it was stolen, stripped & dumped there.

----Car appears to be an SS with the 427 engine, not an "SS427". Makes you wonder why the hood is gone. I could understand some jerk stealing an SS427 hood, but a flat hood??? It also looks like the front seats have correct pattern replacement seat covers but in totally the wrong color. Strange!.....Bill S

I do not know these cars at all, I looked on line and see 67 427 cars with different emblems and hood??? the car still has the hood and it is flat, the trans is there and the rear is there this is the second owner of the car and the original engine was gone when he got it, but it did have a 67 427 in it but the current owner removed it.

I agree the badging indicates it was an Impala SS w/ 427 L36/M40 and not an SS427 car.
Black firewall indicates not but it's always worth confirming the assembly plant as Canadian built cars have Vin specific as shipped RPO info available from GM Canada Vintage services.
Is the air cleaner still around?

----I could easily be wrong but Im betting that the motor was removed because of the likelyhood of finding a deep-pockets guy with a 67 Corvette. Even though its a two-bolt main engine we all know how easy it is to straighten that little problem out, and there are also plenty of 390 and 400 hp 67 Vettes out there that need 351s too. Unfortunatly, that particular motor (if your guy knows values) probably more than doubles the value of the car. Its my guess he doesnt think the car will bring the $ all together. A mistake IMHO!!!

----I sold a reverse rotation (marine) 351 short block about 5 years ago for about $4000, and nothing has changed much......Bill S
