Exclamation 1970 Nova Sleeper For Sale

Hi Folks...I'll put this back up for sale. Given my situation, I need to sell it but I can't give I away. Price has been reduced considerably. I'm sure all of you understand.

1970 Nova sleeper (“ZZZ” aka “Plain Jane”). This car has been featured in dozens of articles in Racing Junk and Summit Racing (On All Cylinders) over the years. There's a detailed thread on the build here:

https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=174651

Basic car has 13,800 miles original miles. Original body panels, 75% original paint (the balance was perfectly blended in), original interior (carpet has replaced the rubber mat + driver side arm rest has been reupholstered). Car was rotisserie restored, comprehensively detailed and looks just as nice underneath as it does on top. Almost all fasteners are new and correct. Heater delete. Radio Delete. Manual steering. Manual GM brakes (discs front; drums rear -- all new front and rear). Hurst roll control. Stainless brake lines. Stainless park brake cables. I have original owner purchase docs and a complete paper trail for the car. Purchased new at Grieger Chevrolet, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Engine:

565 cubic inch big block Chevy. Dart 4.6-inch bore block, fully counterweighted Molnar 4.25-inch stroke crank, Molnar connecting rods, Mahle pistons (over all CR is just under 11:1), Mahle metric rings, Mahle pins, King Bearings, Brodix 345 cc BB3-Xtra heads, Brodix dual plane intake, Holley Ultra XP carburetor, Jesel 0.903-inch diameter (426 Hemi size) mechanical roller lifters, Bullet 0.765-inch lift custom roller cam, roller timing chain, Trend double tapered pushrods, Jesel steel shaft rockers, Stef's aluminum oil pan, Melling billet oil pump with bottom pickup, custom Delco distributor, MSD 7AL2 ignition, MSD Coil (MSD and coil are located under the dash, behind the glovebox), custom Summit-Packard wires, ATI Super Damper, Edelbrock aluminium water pump, ARP fasteners throughout + more.

Transmission:

ATI custom built TH400 with all HD parts. Forward pattern manual valve body (allows for engine braking on the street), ATI custom Treemaster 10-inch converter, ATI SFI flex plate, Precision Performance Shifter, Earl's stacked plate transmission cooler, Earl's -6 AN lines.

Driveshaft: Mark Williams 7075 aluminum with billet end yokes. 1350 Spicer universal joints.

Rear End: Mark Williams custom built 12 bolt. Uses KTRE (now DTS) style large bore, large cap case, 35 spline Detroit Locker, 35 spline Mark Williams Pro Street axles (same size as a Dana 60), Mark Williams circle track style housing ends (with seals), 3.73:1 gears, billet yoke.

Exhaust: Lemons 2-25-inch headers with slip on tubes. 4-inch collectors. Headers have been black Cerakoted. Hooker 3-inch stainless exhaust with "X" pipe and turn outs after the mufflers.

Fuel System: Custom fabricated with new tank. Holley Hydramat inside the tank. -10 AN (5/8-inch) fuel feed lines, -8AN fuel return lines, -8AN fuel tank vent. Lines outside the tank are Earl's. Weldon Electric fuel pump, Weldon Regulator.

Cooling System: DeWitt's aluminum rad (coated black), OEM style pulleys, 396 rad support, 396 shroud, 396 fan, 396 style hoses.

Gauges: AutoMeter Monster tach, AutoMeter mechanical oil pressure, AutoMeter electric stepper motor temperature gauge.

15X8 custom backspace wheels at the rear; 15X6 OEM wheels on the front. M&H Racemaster P275-60 drag radials.

Frame rails have been tied (frame connectors). Front springs are custom Santuff. Rears are split Mono Leaf from Calvert Racing. Traction bars are Smith Racecraft Assassin bars. Front and rear shocks are double adjustable AFCO's. Front A-arms are Detroit Speed. All of the steering and suspension components are new.

I'm sure I missed things -- there's certainly a lot more, but the build thread can provide more details. The car recently won Best Street Machine at a large local indoor car show.

Note: Please contact me directly for a five page PDF that details a huge number of features and construction details not visible in the photos or mentioned here (there is a lot hidden in the car). I also have a “mild” driving video inside the car that I can share.

The car runs great. It's easy enough to drive, but honestly, it's quick on the throttle and it definitely gets your attention immediately when on the gas. The 1-2 gear shift requires all of your attention.

Here's a video walk around of the car running (cut and paste):

Car is located in Saskatchewan, Canada (north of North Dakota/Montana). TFX Transport can pick the car up here, clear customs for you (no duty or taxes) and drop it off at your door. I can help with logistics, but I'm not transporting the car. FYI, TFX is a regular transport company for major US collector car auctions.

If you want an uber-cool, bad to the bone, absolutely Mint, Extreme Quality Nova, this is it.

I have touched pretty much every nut, bolt and washer on this car. If you have any questions or need photos of anything else, feel free to contact me.

Please note: I've had some people express an interest in purchasing without the 565 and the ATI automatic. I'd consider that, and I'm firm at $50,000 as a roller.

Price is $78,000 US dollars (OBO No Trades). It will cost considerably more than this to duplicate the car. Currently, there is less than five hours running time on the Nova. The car is stunning in person and speaks for itself.

Note: I have driven the car up and down the driveway this year and that's it. It's in the exact condition shown in the photos.

If the AUD -> USD was better, this would be a temptation almost too big to resist. Good luck with the sale, I loved watching the build thread.
