1970 Oldsmobile W-31 Canadian delivered car
Hi sYc Friends, the Father In Law of a very good high school friend of mine is selling his car back in Ontario, Canada; the link to the ad is:
https://www.autotrader.ca I don't personally know the seller, nor have I ever seen the car. I'm just passing this along in case anyone here might be interested and to cast a wider net for him as it were. I have nothing to do with this car beyond this nudge. Below is the text of his ad and a photo FYI, his contact info and more photos are in the ad linked above. Price is likely CDN. He also likely has the GM VVS doc from George, but I don't know for sure. Cheers all, Anthony For sale: beautiful, powerful and very rare (1 of 207) 1970 Oldsmobile F85 W31. Engine is the original Ram Rod 350 high performance V8 that was the centre of the W31 package, which came with factory headers, aluminum intake, dual exhaust, 4V carburation, 11.75:1 compression, high lift cam, iron heads (with the same huge valves as in the 455), ram air induction, and more. Transmission is TH350. Both the engine and transmission have been rebuilt. 3.42 factory gears with posi-trac. Documented factory equipment includes: W31 Performance Package; Dual Outside Remote Mirrors; Sport Suspension; Super Stock II Wheels; AM Radio; Rally Steering Wheel. This car was delivered new to Central Chev-Olds in London, Ontario in March 1970. Asking $42,500 car can be viewed by appointment. Last edited by AnthonyS; 05-02-2019 at 10:18 PM. Hi Jon, all I was told was "engine was professionally rebuilt (and blueprinted) and compression is (still) factory rated."
A further question for the seller. I'm posting his contact email below. Thanks, Anthony Last edited by AnthonyS; 05-02-2019 at 10:19 PM. |

Hi all,
When you contact him, let him know you saw Anthony's post about it on Yenko.com or sYc; he's getting some scammers already from the Autotrader ad... Cheers all, Anthony Last edited by AnthonyS; 05-02-2019 at 10:16 PM. Reason: car off the market now |

W-31..
The 70 version had a 10.5 to 1 compression ratio...a slight bump form 69.
