Default Mad Mom

30 years ago my cousin & I removed the entire backseat of his Chevelle so we could a get a keg back there for his graduation party in the middle of the afternoon.
He left it in there until it was dry three days later..
If this was 1978,she would've been laughed at and ignored.
I really commend her for doing this today.

As Private John Winger (Bill Murray) in Stripes said: "I want to party with her!"

As my Dad used to say, "There are two ways to learn. One of them is the easy way, or, you figure out the other one for yourself."

Went to my first kegger in 9th grade, 1976, held at a buddy's house while his parents were on vacation. My mother bought me a sixer of Heineken which I carried in a brown bag while I rode my Schwinn Scrambler to the party. After two beers I was smashed. My buddy's older brother, who was pulling the night shift at the Sizzler, found out and came flying home (in his '62 SS 327 Impala, white/red guts and baby moons) and chased all of us out of there. I rode my bike home and had to stop many times from the street moving around under me. My mom and dad had waited up for me and just looked at me and chuckled as I flopped onto the couch to watch "The Midnight Special." Next day my dad and I go out to Oakland airport to walk along the ramp and look at airplanes (when you could still do that) and walk-off some of my hangover. I had bad flatulence that day and after one such emission I laughed a little to myself and I heard my dad quietly laughing to himsef too. That's when he explained "beer farts" to me and we just howled with laughter which broke the tension and my hangover. Ever after I have used caution in the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
