What tire size would look semi period correct on a set of 15x6 Cragar G/T wheels? These are going on my 68 Z. I am going with radial redlines but want it to look convincing from 20 feet. Appreciate the help, Tony

Thanks Tom! Do the 225/70-15s rub on the front?

68 and 69's are a little different animal. I run 215/70R15's on the front of mine mounted on TTO's and they don't hit at all. Original rally wheels I think even have a little more offset in our favor.

Tom, are you sure that's the size? I would have assumed that your wife's Camaro has 14x7 SS wheels and a corresponding 225/70/14. 225/70/15's have looked huge on all of the Camaros I've seen, and would look even more so on a 6" rim, IMO.
I agree that the BFG Silvertown redlines are the best looking/running radials redlines out there. In this case, I would go with the time-proven Z/28 size of 215/65/15. http://www.universaltire.com/cart.ph...ategory_id=325 |
