Ok guys here is a good one. I'm watching the race and cleaning my garage and came across this air cleaner. It's a flat bottom style like the z16 or 65 66 Impala, however it has different style sorkels like the later 70 z28's do. Does anyone have one like this or can someone tell me what car it fits. Thanks

I don't think the corvettes used the big diameter air cleaner.Could this be a prototype 70 z air cleaner?

Well after a couple of hours moving cars I finally got to my 66 and the air cleaner is the same with the exception of how the snorkels are attached. Here is a pic.

Both air cleaners together by snorkels. I really can't imagine this is for corvette since the dual snorkels they used were the smaller sized bases, but I"m no expert

Might be the pictures but they don't look the same to my old eyes. Snorkels look smaller on the mistery one and the stampings on the inner section not exactly a match.
