How many triple black ls6 coupes were built?

Does anybody know how many triple black ls-6 coupes were made?
I own a Atlanta built one with 59,000 original miles on it.
It a M-22 four speed with 12 bolt with 4:10, manual steering, optional three spoke wheel, tach and gauges, am- 8-track stereo, tinted glass, buckets seats with floor console, and cowl induction hood.
The original owner got to see the car being built because his aunt work at Atlanta factory! How cool would that have been. He told me one door panel had SS emblem, and the other side had Malibu.
Almost done with frame off restoration.

Don't know that anyone has a breakdown by color or accessories but there's probably more Black cars today than were actually produced!

Like I've said before, "Of the 4475 LS-6 cars produced in 1970, only about 6000 still exist."

How 'bout some pix of your restoration?

There are no breakdowns on production numbers on color combinations that I am aware of but there is a generic listing of how many RPO coded items where built. However, it is very vague and would really not tell much other than how rare a certain option is. Tripple black is actually quite common especially on LS-6's. I think a combination of purchases for the purpose of drag racing (origls6) and moonshiners (Benchmark LS-6) was the reason for so many black cars.

I am currently finishing up on a Shadow Grey LS-6 from MA. Welcome to the site.

wow I may have been steared in the wrong direction on a possible ls6 I found

my so called self proclaimed expert said it couldnt be a ls6 because it came from atlanta and not kansas but I also think he said it was a malibu instead of a chevelle I know nothing about chevelles or malibu's so dont pick on me

so is yours a chevelle or malibu

Mike H. had a real nice triple,Van Nuys built,until he sold it down in Fla. not too long ago.Almost optioned identical to your's,and his was a genuine stripe delete.

Yeah, I heard there are 600 Illegal Aliens building them in a garage in Suburban Chicago! They're callin' them Tribute Cars. Supposedly, their ringleader is a guy with a cheezy moustache they call "Little Hitler"!

Actually I think there is now 10,000. original LS6 cars
6000 was the number about 4 years ago.And still growing.
ony about 100 have original papers with the cars and about 25 L78 cars.
