There seemed to be a nice LS6 on ebay beginning of this month that appeared to have the correct engine, although the seller represented the fact that it had an incorrect transmission.....The seller ended the auction early, said he sold the car to a dealer. Did anyone know this particular car? Ebay item number 150088755863 This was the exact car I was looking for, thanks!

Looks like the 80 grit method of making broach marks!

Mark, what are the signs of the incorrect broach marks on the engine stamp? It looked pretty correct to me, so I would like to learn more......Thanks, Ken

I sold another '70 SS396 Chevelle (not this car!) to this guy a few years ago and he seemed like an honest dude, for what it's worth.

Guv...the broach marks in the pic are too deep and cross over each other. They were probably done with a file. Here is a pad from another thread to compare.

Hey Charlie the reason that the broach marks are opposite is that GM turned the block 90 degrees when they were machineing the block.
