Default 69 Camaro 427 ( 512 4-bolt ), in Houston, TX

Just bought it from a friend, and I am in the process up finishing up the interior. 427(512)4-bolt, Tremec 5 speed, 12 bolt posi, chambered exhaust.

Did any of the Yenko Camaros that were sold to the public come equipped with aluminum heads? Pardon my ignorance - just trying to learn something here.

For what's it's worth, the original owner of our '69 Y-Camaro swears that it came with "special" [as he called them], aluminum heads...not long after he bought the car something in the head went bad (seat? valve?) and when he went to warranty it he said it drug on and on for the better part of a year because of these "special" heads...he wasn't stoked about making payments on a new car that he couldn't drive so he ended up getting rid of it...probably why our car showed so few miles on the odometer when we got it (under 30k)...
