Default 68 Camaro sold from Yenko Chev

Question to the members . . if a 68 Camaro was sold from Yenko Chev - would Yenko Chev have installed one of its dealer badges on the car. If so, what type of badge would that be and where would it be placed? Anyone have a picture? Is it the same as the Yenko Camaro converted cars??

Thanks for the feedback

I have seen two 68 Yenko sold/tuned Z/28 cars and one 69 Z. They all had badges on the front fenders. All way above the Camaro scripts, not below. Their would be no reason to think a promotional dealer emblem did not get placed on a Yenko Sports Car sold car...BKH

I remember seeing a late '60's early '70's Nova at a car cruise a few years back that was bought new in Canonsburg at Yenko and the car merely had a trunk emblem that said something ot the effect of "Yenko Chevrolet - Canonsburg, PA." You have to remember Yenko sold a lot of new cars, only a small fraction were the performance cars, not unlike what Tom Henry Chevrolet does north of Pittsburgh today (Yenko was south of the city).

BKH: probably a dumb question, but what would the *ordinary* Yenko cars/trucks have gotten...the 6-cylinder, low horse, non-Sports Car sold, grocery getters?

From what I've seen, they received the black/chrome version. I've seen '70 monte carlos and pickup trucks with them, just oridinary cars sold from Yenko.

A friend of mine here in Maryland has a 68 Z28 that was sold at Yenko Chevrolet. He has no Yenko badges on his front fenders but has the red, white and blue Yenko badge on the tail panel slightly left of center if I am not mistaken. I believe a few people from here may have seen his car at the Camaro Nationals. It's been in the Bowtie Class for a number of years. It's a very nicely done Z28. I saw him a couple of weeks ago at our Camaro club event and he indicated he was thinking about bringing it to SCR10. Hopefully he will. Keep working on him Tom!!!

Is that the one that has been to the York show a couple of times? If so, nice ride.

And of course, welcome at SCR10.

If anyone would be kind enought to send or post a pic, that would be great...seems there could be different options how they represented their dealership...great info..
I never seen teh black/chrome version before...

If it's Teal Blue with a White Stripe that is the one. I know he has gone up there a few times. When I told him I was at SCR9 his eyes lit up and he asked how was it. Went on to say that " Tom Clary has been asking me to come out for a few years". This could be the year. I'll keep working on him as well Tom!

I think I have a pic of it somewhere. I'll hunt around and see if I can come across it.

Somewhere I have the picture of the 68 on the fenders. Red/White/Blue versions. I have seen black and chrome on a 71 four handle Chevelle right here in Latrobe bought at Yenko and follwed an old Chevy truck out of town with one on the tailgate. I have seen the Yenko Canonsburg PA decal on an 69 Chevelle SS once in Johnstown years ago. The only time I have ever seen that. I have seen B/Chrome on Yenko Turbo Z's brand new at Yenko. I guess it depends on who put them on as for placement and how many...BKH
