Default SCR9 update 8-22-06

First of all, anyone wanting to attend the banquet on Friday evening needs to get with me ASAP.

The keynote speaker for the banquet will be Jim Mattison, who in 1969 was employed by Chevrolet, working in the Central Office (COPO cars). When in Detroit, Don Yenko would often times stay with Jim. More recently Jim set up the Pontiac Historical Services for GM. I think it is obvious Jim is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to our cars and their history.

As an added treat, also attending will be Lynn "Yenko" Zoiopoulos and her son Alex. Lynn is the oldest daughter of the late Don Yenko. Lynn grew up around the dealership, even installing a few stripes. She has many interesting stories about the Yenko family and their friends.

Once again lots of memorabilia will be on hand, from not only Joe Barr, but Annie Hartweg is bringing a portion of the Gibb memorabilia display her late husband Dennis put together. Both collections are quite impressive.

As always, the charming Helen Gibb, along with her daughter Nancy, will be attending with their 1968 Gibb Nova.

It will be great to meet all the people mentioned above...some for the first time (Jim, Lynn and Alex) and some for the second time (Helen, Joe, Nancy and Annie)...and everyone else!
