Default 68 Camaro Steering column

Should a 68 Camaro steering column have the steering lock mechanism? Trying to put back together a column someone modified for an aftermarket wheel.

Thanks

I dont think so. I have a 68 myself...but it dosent have the column in it and i cannot remember if its on the dash. I am 99.999% sure the steering column with the switch wasnt started til '69. If i am mistaken someone else will set you on the right path!

David is correct

67/68 ing Switches were on the dash panel

in 69 they moved to the steering column and started locking
