Default 1969 Black 300 Deluxe SS Post Sedan

I posted pics of this car about a year ago when I found it for this current customer. He brought the car back this week for some minor details....new Redline Tires, new black (752) 300 Deluxe door panels, and a complete wet sand and buff. Stunning with the new Redlines.

This sounds all too familiar...I have seen this quite a few times as the person working the assembly line made a mistake....amagine that

I found the cars IBM card under the rear seat along with another IBM card belonging to a 69 El Camino

Translation....13427 = 300 Deluxe Pillar Post 2 door Sedan...52(752) = Black Vinyl Deluxe interior...

0354 = ?
303 = Weekly production number
277291 = Vehicle sequential number
B22 = ? Not sure....I think it is RPO Rubber floor mat
U80 = Auxillary Rear Speaker
M21 = Close Ratio 4 Speed
03C4 = Third week March

Hey Don Lightfoot help out a fellow Post Sedan fan. What is RPO B22?

Dan,

Cool ride. Which motor? Didn't know they put non-interior options on an IBM card (M21). Which factory? You mentioned "new black (752) 300 Deluxe door panels". Are they making these now? Or did you track some NOS down for him?

Thanks,

Thanks a lot Dan, now you got my brain trying to work

I have no record of a RPO B22 for 69 Chevelle, but that doesn't mean it did not exist.

If my memory serves me right there were a couple of threads on TC about this code, but it was for 1970 cars. I believe it had something to do with the SS emblem on the door panels. That's strange if you relate that to 69 300 Deluxe SS models as they simply said Chevelle on the door panels. If I find anything I'll let you know.

Sam,

I`ll take some pictures tomorrow of the new black 300 Deluxe door panels...I`ll post them tomorrow.

Don...I looked under Team Chevelle De-coding options...you are correct once again. However there is Barry Bonds..oops I mean an asterisk next to B22....which states..."Submitted via email".

*B22 = Door Trim Panel "SS"

All SS 300 Deluxe Coupe or Post Sedan`s came with the Standard 300 Deluxe interior`s which read "Chevelle" on the door panel.
