How accurate are the bolt and nut kits that you can buy for the front end sheet metal? A lot of the stuff was pretty generic at one time.

AMK sells a very nice kit that I found very accurate. The only things I noted were plant and date changes were not available. The provide the most common bolt head design for that model. All in all I was very pleased and the prices did not seem to be too bad either.

Keith
I ordered many single bolts and bolt kits for my 68 Camaro and when I compared the origional bolts to the repro ones they are identical.I went to the trouble to restore the origional bolts like the hinge bolts and they are perfect I also only had one origional bolt for the 4 piston caliper backing plates and orderd 4 ,when they came they were identical. And also being a tool and die maker helps in identifying the finnish and threads. Each package is clearly marked as to where they go.Thats a great help to people like me especialy when I cant read my own writing on the packages when I stripped the car three months before. ![]() Suprss70 |
