My brother is in the same boat I was about two years ago. He is looking for an original, fun little summer cruiser. He has never owned a 1970 Chevelle, so he is looking a 1970 Chevelle SS396. But since we don't know much about Chevelles, I am seeking your help. Whats NOT original on this car? I think my brother posted it on Team Chevelle so I am sorry for the double post.
We know the paint, exhaust, shocks, and maybe trans are not original... but this is ok as my brother wants a project too. The link is below. Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=4557295639

Have you talked to the guy about the car yet? Well I have and what i gathered is that the car needs 2 rear quarters. The quarters both had work done some time ago but they were only half quarters and they are showing signs of where they were fixed. Also the car had a viynl top and had some rust problems fixed on the roof and rivets are starting to pop through. Also he sold the cowl air cleaner and all the parts on ebay 6 months back. The reserve ont he car is 22 but someone has already offered 24. To me for a car that needs about 10 in work that was a little too much in my opinion.
