What is the correct casting number for the left exhaust manifold for 70 Chevelle LS5, M22 with Heat only
My "Catalog of Chevy V-8 Engine Casting Numbers 1955-93" doesn't have this listing.......or I'm not quick enough to find it! Thanks!

LH is #3909879 and ALL 1970 BB Chevelle-Elco-Monte Carlo-Camaro-Nova shared this,be it A.I.R. equipped or not.Of course A.I.R. had tapped access holes.
The RH is #3916178 & was used from 1968-1970 on ALL BB models. The 1970 LH Manifold was a one year only design, and unique in that it has a flat locating tab on the #1 cyl. ex.port only. 1968-69 did not have this tab,1971-72 did have this tab,but went by a different part,#3989343. |
