Default Copo Chevelle question

Were the COPO Chevelles built from Malibu coupes or were they standard coupes? Do the door panels have Malibu emblems on them? Should the steering wheel have the bowtie emblem like the Camaros or say Malibu?

Default Re: Copo Chevelle question

COPO chevelles had malibu interior trim, not base 300 Deluxe trim. Malibu door panel emblems, and the steering wheel could have actually came 3 ways... the round bowtie emblem, the rectangular Malibu emblem, or even the rectangular SS emblem. All 3 versions have been found on original cars. As far as exterior trim, they were essentially trimmed as SS396 cars, minus SS emblems, however, cars without the 9737 package did have SS center caps on the 14x7 YA wheels.
