I had a VW like that Barry Mini Tub with a removable hard top. It was sparkly orange.

Back in 1969 or 1970 my Dad took me to Motion Performance and there was a candy apple red VW in the "showroom" along with a pearl yellow Phase III GT Corvette. We also saw a Classic Copper Camaro that was being turned into a Phase III in the garage. In another area we saw a Berry Mini-T and a Mini-Tub. I was only 8 at the time but me and my brother tried our best to talk my Dad into buying the Phase III GT.

It was actually another part of the Motion mystique--complete engine/suspension work and custom body mods--being on the Island the Dune buggy was very popular--JSINFO--
