The snowflake denotes a (factory)Winters casting. To my knowledge chev never made a x ram for a BB. Are you sure you mean a Big Block Chev?

I have seen the Winters mark on a small block Chevy injection manifold. This was a short ram tube Hilborn style manifold complete with injectors and pump.I was baffled at the time as to the orgin, but it was genuine. They must have cast other manifolds as well..

its as stated snowflake bb crossram sitting on same 427 w/sleeves and snowflake heads its been on last 22yrs in his garage, older owner in 76 says its the same one he got when he bought car, also has a 68 512 block complete , yes 68, and a 68 small block" bowtie" complete engine, got all three w/ car from guy in ny, said he got many motors from him over the years but those were the best and came in all at once, said he's got all the books to and can't find any numbers, and can't tell if the 351 block is an orig L88 or not sounds like it would have to be w/ that setup, if the motor is orig , he will sell, says his son will end up throwing everything in the dump when hes gone anyway, apparently not into this stuff, going over tomorrow, would dates be underneath somewhere??? did L88s have a special suffix, how about as a counter exchange L88??

Look on the bottom side of the manifold for cast dates, a few of the prototype manifolds did not have a production number (302 small block ones), who knows, maybe Chevrolet was experimenting with Winters foundry on a bigblock crossram, and did not want it identified. Dick Harrell would have probably built your car, anything could have happened with his connections. I would buy everything that fellow has now, and sort it out later. Most likely your car was delivered by Yenko with a single 4 barrell manifold, and maybe these items were added on after delivery to the original owner. They are still important pieces to your cars history, even if added on later. BTW, do you care to share any pics of your car?
