Default 2 1970 Chevelle paint questions

What color is this? It is a "ZP3 SPCL PAINT" and "XXX CUSTOMER ORDER" code car.

Also what other special order 1970 Chevelle SS XXX Paint cars are out there? All I have seen is the Tar Heel blue, and Hugger/Monaco orange.

Isn't that car "Carolina Blue"?

Could be? The car in the 1st pic looks a lot lighter. When I saw it up close it looks white, then when the light dimmed it looked light blue.

You are right, the Tar Heel blue car just must be a darker shade?

This is another 1970 in Carolina Blue

Hi Duffy
That one with the legendary sign is also an indicator.
Charley L./Dave S. used to own that particuar Chevelle, with the vinyl top and a dual snorkel too.
It is indeed "Carolina Blue".GM Paint code #20 light blue from the 1970 B-C-O-P Paint charts.
Chevrolet would put just about any color you wanted on a car,if you knew who to ask,it was in their inventory and you paid the extra money for it.

Special Order colors on 1970 Chevelles I have seen are:
Code #20 Light Blue
Code #43 Citrus Green
Code #51 Daytona Yellow
Code #79 Rallye Green
I'm sure there are a few more out there.

One of the most unusual is an LS5 painted a "Special" off Gold Metallic color all over the car, including the SS Wheels.A few of them were painted this color for the Spartanburg South Carolina TriCentennial anniversary,as per the Buildsheet call out,and Delivered to Burwell Chevrolet S.C.
Dupont code#927-98457.

I also sent you an email about that 1970 Chevelle Vintage Iron-On Transfer.Did you recieve it?
Rick
