Can anybody tell me what something like this is worth? One of my dad's neighbors has one that he got brand new from his parents for his high school graduation present. All original and looks brand new. I don't know too many details other than it is a maroon color with gold stripes. I saw it twice while growing up as he almost never drives it. I know it wouldn't be for sale, but I have been contemplating starting to pester him and see if I could get him to sell (doesn't hurt to try, right?). I just haven't the slightest clue what it is worth.

An original owner Boss 429 in original condition would sell for in the 250K range rather quickly. Stripes would have been dealer or owner added.

"Boss 429" should be on the lower fender behind the front tire. Stripes were on the Boss 302 cars but not in Gold. the script should be in white.
