Chad, Do you have the build sheet? Some build sheets have hand writen numbers or letters on them and the same markings appear on firewall. Also may be last digits of sequence number. What is build date?

If you have the buildsheet on it,look at the top left,in box #10.
The first number is the Schedule number.Does it say #98? |

Our car has a 233 crayoned in on the top driver's side corn of the firewall. No build sheet to verify it.

Dave Tinnell is restoring my Camaro and he found "60" written on the fire wall. He seems to think this is the 60th car being produce on this shift. He has found numbers like this on other camaros with corresponding numbers on the inside of fenders and header panels. He seems to think this is the way they kept track of fenders and etc. that went on specific cars.

While attending the Supercar Reunion at Collinsvile.I looked at Chris Shorrs 1969 Butternut Yellow Yenko Chevele.
On the filler trim peice, above the front bumper, under the driver side headlights,it had 427 written in yellow grease pencil. It was upsidedown. Coincedence? |

Our Camaro had "427" written on the passenger side fender extension (upside down, I believe?) just forward of the front tire, and was a 24k mile original car...I've heard of this on other cars as well.

My JL8 car had 235 written on the driver's side of the firewall hidden by the fender. That matches the sequence number on the broadcast sheet.
