You need to check for the following for a 70 L78 Nova, I have one;

1, radiator support, needs to have the opening at 23", 4 core rad and should be bolted on to the support, rubber flap and small metal bracket over the center top of the rad.

2. Engine should slightly offset to the right (pass. side) The drivers side engine mount will be higher than the pass side.

3.If 4spd, crossmember will have one diagonal corner on the underside where the bolts go through for the tranny mount. The BB crossmember also tilts the driveline to the pass side silghtly

4.If it has a factory tach, redline must be 6k for the L78, 5500 for the L34.

5. if it still has the orig engine, should be code CKO for 4spd,not sure on auto cars

6. check for factory rear sway bar.

7. If it is L78, should have one 3/8 fuel line, no return line

All SS Novas for 70 have Power Disk brakes. Good luck. Sully

I have viewed this car at Corvette Collection. I live about 5 minutes from their. I think I even have a pic of the trim tag. I am not sure if it is a real L78. The car is in just OK shape.

The Green Nova is a true Big Block. However It did have dual factory Fuel lines. NOM, and F41.

JR;
The trim tags are all 11427 for some reason, so only the VIN will denote a 6cyl from a V8.
