This site is dedicated to Chevrolet products but Motion was also building Pontiac, Olds, Buick, and Ford based performance cars.
This 1989 Motion Mustang GT Convertible was used to showcase the Motion Performance fiberglass catalog parts and was used as a daily driver by Joel Rosen's wife Judith from 1989 to 2002. This may be the last Motion Performance car built. My brother and I purchased the car from Joel Rosen 'Mr. Motion' in LI NY. We had a great time meeting and talking with Joel. On the way home we photographed it in front of the old Motion Performance building on Sunrise Highway in Baldwin, NY. 1989 Motion Mustang GT Convertible features..... Neat car, this was hot when I was in high school. A different "period" than what we usually talk about but I do have a place in my heart for it. I have a lot of stop light memories of my 65 SS and these style GTs. I never regretted having those 88's in the rear till one night a maroon GT like this walked by me on the top end. I later found out he was running N2O. Any pics of the engine of this one?

I attached an engine pic but there is not much to see. It just has a K&N filter and small pulleys. There are small tube headers on it but I think they were factory for that year.
here is one of "Mr Motion" ![]() |
