The SC-Maple Grove show was the normal! The bright spot for me was seeing a some nice big block novas there for the first time, including Stan Falenski's '69 Dusk Blue L78 which won 1st place in stock class. Bernies '69 Cortez Silver Camaro was the lone COPO car.
The requisite Yenko clone car was in attendance. This year's clone was a sad attempt at a Yenko Deuce Nova. The car was a black '71 Nova with some stripes/emblems, you can imagine how incorrect this thing was. I am glad that I did not take mine to the show, and then have to explain why its the real one! But for every low point there is a high point, Joe Swezey found me a properly dated spare tire jack in the swap meet area for $25, and I found an untorn armrest pad for $10, - good deals! Marlin

Marlin,what is the date on your jack?Is it on the hook,or just the mast itself? I have never seen a hook dated anything but 1968.I figured this was one shot deal only,and they never retooled for the following years.I have about a dozen of these out of 68-72 Novas.I'm not doubting your jack,just eager to learn more.

Steve;
My jack purchase was just the mast, and it was dated on one of the 'rivet' looking pieces on the slider mechanism. The date was 'A0', or January of '70 as I was told. The hooks that I have seen are also all dated '68, and are stamped 'CHEVY II' so that is what I plan to use as well. M

Marlin,that's what I thought as well.Is your mast a "t" style or is it a hollow tube?I know there are several different suppliers of jacks (masts).
