Default '69 L78 Chevelle Project with Build Sheet

Neat car with some good original options such as sport stripe, tach, etc.

Original block is gone but it comes with the block from 19B406435 (either 136379B406435 or 136679B406435).

Cool car, but a question, I am in no way, shape, or form knowledgeable on prices for 69 Chevelles, but is 40k to much money for a car with what looks like quite a bit of rot around the rear window?
It’s a really cool car with cool options like the chambered exhaust. Just seems like a lot of money to me.

Yes, even if it had the original block I’d say it was priced on the ambitious side (with exceptions being a super rare or popular color combo such as black on red).

More documentation would support the price better. Seller claims the the floor and trunk are good, with all the other rust, I would need to see it to believe it. Being an East coast vehicle, the frame would need close inspection for rot too. Even with undercoating, the rust isn't going to come from the bottom with all the holes in the quarters and extension panel. Every exterior panel on it will need work at minimum, replacement at worst/best. The NOS panels and period correct engine parts do have significant value, but 40k is, as Tony states, a little ambitious.
