Default Rick Derringer
Rick Derringer passed yesterday. Hang On Sloopy, Rock-n-Roll Hootchie Koo. He toured with Ringos All Star band for a few years and was involved with a number of other musicians. Johnny and Edgar Winter (Free Ride, Frankenstein) as well. R.I.P.

Think Rick was only around 15 or 16 when he was with The McCoys and Hang on Sloopy came out.Great guitar break in that song by him.RIP Rick,thanks for the great tunes bud!

Watch the Hang on Sloopy video on YouTube and check out the girl dancing.Been a bit of a mystery online who she is.No one's been able to really identify her.

I saw Rick D and Leslie West together at the same gig many years ago. Great show. Very sad that both are gone.
