Default GM hood Pop Ip Dip Color

The dip color code was long gone on my TA, at a show one day we walked around and saw some color on one end of the hood pop up spring on a lot of cars, one gto we looked at had minute PCs of color still on, and the owner never knew it, here a nos one from the 70’s with the correct color dip on the one end. Can anyone verify this from their car?
