Default MCACN coverage by Hemmings

Nice article.

Mentions Derek's as found Z/28 that was sitting in the lobby of the Convention Center.
It got a LOT of attention during the show. I would get that thing running, put some modern rubber on it, and drive it like I stole it.

The attention the Z/28 received was pretty incredible. We were parked next to some cars that were WAY more significant and famous racecars, but watching people walk right by those to take pictures of the rough old small-town street-racer was really an interesting phenomenon.

We did meet an old friend of the previous owner who shared some more history with us. I gave him my card, and he's going to reach out if he finds any old pictures of it.

Bringing a car to MCACN for the first time was a fun experience. We're already thinking about which car to bring next year!

And the addiction to the show only deepens...
Getting tired from walking around a few years ago and ending up "helping" Steve in the Vintage area is how I got entrenched in that event.
I, and 3 others, from the Vintage crew ate lunch at the sandwich bar behind your car and many of the people walking right by the 2 shiny Blue Camaro's are probably too young to know what they are or their significance to Chevrolet road racing and the development/popularity of the Camaro as a whole.
