Default Best feeling reproduction wood steering wheel?

Guys, my uncle has a driver '68 Malibu we'd like to install a new wood wheel on. What is the best feel/grip/look without breaking the bank? His OEM plastic wheel is cracked beyond repair.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a Grant 967 and don't really recommend it. The rivet holes on the backside are quite deep and pinch my fingers when turning. I'm going to find some type of filler to plug them and hope it's comfortable. The diameter and thickness are very good, just don't like the pinching feel.

Dan - my brother just installed a repro wood wheel on his 68 Camaro, he'll surely chime in with a picture and comment.

Dan, my next project has a repro wood three spoke that will be available, just not yet, if you can wait till it comes off the lift.

If you’re considering aftermarket options the GT wood wheel we put in my friends GTO is a nice piece for reasonable cash. No rivets, good vintage diameter and dish but a thicker modern grip. https://www.gtperformance.net/produc...ng-wheels-all/

Hey Dan, here is a pic of my repro walnut wheel. I bought it from Eckler’s. Part#180072. I think it was around $300.
