Default Is this MQ stamp legit?

I'm looking for a dated block for my 68 L78 Camaro, build date was January 21, 1968. Original block is long gone. I came across this one, I see the broach marks, but was curious about the MQ stamp, spacing seems odd to me. Any experts care to chime in?

Both appear to be later builds than yours but there's a couple examples in these two threads...

That’s a strange irregular spacing between the M and the Q?

That's the only picture I've got of the prospective block. I do not have a VIN # for the prospective donor block. The block I have is mid November 1967 stamp date, but there are cracks by the cam journals that likely leak water. Spacing of M-Q on that block is virtually identical to what Pete posted above of the later blocks.

I have two different "Q"s, but none like the one posted. Could have been more different ones though. Anybody have that Q with that straight cross stroke? I have seen a long and a short cross stroke - but curved.

Can you post a picture of the cracks? And that stamp?
