Default 70 L78 Motor Found

A friend of mine just bought this motor, he is not a member so i am posting for him. Just looking to reunite a car and a motor.

Suffix- T0701CKO
Vin- 10W392729
Casting Date- B 11 70
Casting Number- 3969854

I believe the suffix is correct for a camaro, nova, or chevelle. If someone could type the complete possible vins i would appreciate it.

Doesn't the "W" (i.e Willow Run) in the VIN indicate a Nova application ? I 'spect Wilma will know a thing or two - WILMA!!!!

Yes, W is Willow run. They made mostly novas and trucks.

So there would be three more engines with the same Liberator VIN perhaps? ;-)

**The CKO suffix denotes the L78 w/4spd...the W in the VIN stamp signifies a Nova from the Willow Run Plant. February casting date and 1st week of July engine assembly date...that is a late build car...almost at the end of the model run. Our 70 Autumn Gold L78 car was built the same time...the late cars usually have an engine assembly date very close to the build date for the car.

And just for clarification the "W" in the VIN stands for WILMA
