Didn't see any threads on this, so I thought I'd post a few pics. Attendance seemed down this year. We've gone every year, same day of the week, for about 30 years now. This year there weren't anywhere near the number of concept vehicles as there were last year. Crowds were much lighter.
Chevrolet has a new Redline Edition series that's on many of their models. Theme is silver and black with a dash of red. Sadly, about 80% of the cars around our area are black, white, or silver, so a special line of silver cars may have been a good sales decision, but these cars do not stand out at all. Displays were all the same as previous years. Only notable exception was that Mercedes upped the ante with their hill climbing demonstrations. Traditionally, Jeep always wowed the crowds as spectators got to ride up a steeply angled artificial hill, and I guess Mercedes decided they would out-do that display. The Mercedes hill was much steeper, at least 45 degrees. It was amusing seeing riders in the passenger seat as the driver would hold the Mercedes SUV on the steep hill for several seconds. Must have been like one of those roller coasters that momentarily hangs you on the edge. Could see several people in passenger seats freaking out. Have to admit the Mustangs are still the coolest looking vehicles. Dodge Demon was not there, but they had signs for it. Nickey Camaro was in attendance. Loved the Gran Sport Vette. Toyota had a few Chicago Cubs vehicles, which was pretty cool.

Too bad a person couldn't find a "hacked-up" Corvette and make a tribute machine to mimic that one -- a street machine that would command attention!! Craig

My guess is the Grand Sport is one of the Superformance versions modified by Lingenfelter. Superformance builds a very nice GS replica. The one from Pavilions looks like a D & D version, they were good cars, also.
