Men, Women, anyone else;
I'm on the hunt for my Dad's old car. He bought this car when he got out of the Air Force in 1967, and since he couldn't quite afford a GTO, he got something similar. Dad bought a 1967 Pontiac LeMans, 326HO, 4spd, buckets, console, 4spd, Ralley Gauges, Mariner Turquoise, White Vinyl top, green interior. He also added 66 hubcaps. It was bought new out of the Bristol, PA dealership. He lived in Morrisville, PA at the time. He then sold the car to my uncle, Art Molnar in Cinnaminson, NJ where it sat. My uncle then sold it to his son, Tommy. Tommy removed the top since it was starting to rust under the vinyl. The car was eventually sold in the late 90s where Tommy was living in Delran, NJ and that's where the trail ends. So, with all this family history on the car, why don't I have a VIN I can trace? Funny you ask that since I ask the same thing!! See, my uncle keeps everything up to and including a bunch of kidney stones in a jar. But does he have an old expired insurance card or registration? That's a no! So, if any of you guys know of a car that matches this description, drop me a note! I have one pic of Dad by the car, but it's black and white. I had a 67 Mariner Turquoise GTO as he swears his color was similar, but not exact. I can't think of any 67 colors other than Mariner Turquoise that it could be with that color top and interior combo. It's darker in the photo, so I'm pretty sure it's that color. I don't think my GTO was tinted exactly right, and it was BC/CC to boot. Help!!! Cheers Dave |

I know someone who didn't have the VIN number anymore but found a car by contacting their insurance company as they kept a database on cars they insured. Do any of the previous owners still use whatever insurance company they used for the Lemans? May be a longshot but it's another option.
Good luck!

I was thinking the same thing and have sent a few emails to my cousin and uncle to see if they can do that for me. Amazing that I know everyone who's had the car except the current owner and can't get a VIN for it! What about PHS? Can they tell me that info since I know the dealer?
