I was wondering is anyone recognizes these vintage 2 piece carb scoops. They are on a 1966 427 in a 1966 flat bottom boat. The Edelbrock crossram is late 60's vintage and the carbs are Edelbrock specific Holley list 3977-S units(late 67 dates). I believe the scoops were added at the same time as the crossram but can't say for sure. I don't see any markings on the inside or exterior of either scoop. Does anyone recognize these scoops?
Thanks, Jason ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

That is the first thing I thought when I saw this post last night, Cal-Custom, but I would have to do a little research to confirm that. Eelco maybe, some gasser guys may have a clue.

Thanks guys. I've done a bunch of research and have not come up with any 2 piece ones like it. Even after cleaning them I found no markings. Eelco and Cal Custom always have markings as far as I know. I think these are early Moon Eyes scoops from before the one piece ones were available. If I find out anymore info I will update the thread.
Thanks again, Jason |

The boat is pretty hammered. I'm going today to pull the shortblock so I'll snap a few shots.

----Jason,,,I wouldn't blow off the boat as totally junk. There are guys out your way and elsewhere that are restoring these old V-drives. Just saying its probably worth something!......Bill S

It could be worth fixing to the right guy. I have pulled vintage engines out of lots of old v drives. I understand that every boat is different but in general it seems like most guys want the boat for free and I end up parting the boat out for its components. The stringers and all other wood on this boat was rotted. The boat could be bought if anyone is looking.
