I've never seen a metal cap on a 69 Camaro. Other models, yes, but not Camaros.

I have owned several 69 camaros, small block and big block. I don't ever remember seeing a metal cap

I took a original p/s set up off of a 1969 Nova with 3100 miles on it and it had a metal cap. I was told "the metal cap" was used through mid 1969. After late June or so-they went to the plastic caps.
