I love the second generation F-bodies, especially the '70 Z28 and have noticed that some (small spoiler cars) have a Camaro emblem on the trunk while others do not. Is it a Norwood vs Los Angeles thing, a manufacture date range thing or something else?

My 70 Z-28 (Norwood built) has the short spoiler and the Camaro emblem on the trunk. I've owned it 35 years, so am confident it came that way.

Mark M's Los Angeles Z28 has it as does the 1100 mile survivor. Mark's Z is the first photo, the 1100 mile car the second. Note the difference in the stripe application cut off near the window trim on a LA vs Norwood Camaro.

So are all '70 Z28's supposed to have the trunk Camaro emblem? I have seen quite a few cars without the emblem and wondered why.

All 1970 Camaros had the trunk emblem....was a 1970 only item. I attended the recent Mecum auction in Chicago and noticed several of the 1970's there had the emblem removed for some reason when the cars were restored....should have been there. In 1971 the emblem was gone never to reappear on a second gen.
