i have a 1967 4K camaro dated 07B (very late). Im looking for a 323 casting numbered block with a tight time frame of probably last week of June to 2nd week of July.
if i don't get very far with that then i can use a 1968 dated 323 casting CE block. of course all need to be L78 blocks; 4 bolt main, etc. please let me know if you have one or know where i might locate one. this is a very, very, very rare car that deserves and will have the right stuff put on it. many thanks, kasey |

I have notes on some 67 4k cars and a 07B on my list has the 406 block with a TO624 assy. and a E-31-7 cast dates.
Another car has a 323 block with a T0705 assy. and a F-8-7 cast date. VIN 7N252794. Sorry I don't have the VIN on the first one. Steve.

Interesting Steve. I would have thought by that late in the run they would have had the 323 exclusively, but what do i know?
I suppose that's a good thing to know that I could use either casting for my car, considering you've seen both with original cars. Many thanks. Now, does anybody know anybody that might have either castings? |

There was no first in first out rule so the 323 and 406 blocks were mixed during transition.
Don't give up I'm in the same boat. Steve.
