I have several pictures of 480's with large 0's. Don't know if 9D28 is a known date for a 480, but it is for a 499, and the date stamping is real if that is a viable date for a 480. I asked about the numbers on the bottom of the weight plate. I'll post back if I get a reply.

I believe the only April manufactured 480 is a 9D2. Tell tale is in the zero on the distributor on ebay. I also believe the only month 2 batches of 480's were manufactured was May. 9E13 and 9E16. There is also a 481,483, or 489 that was also dated 9 d 28. If it was real and 600.00 I think it would of sold by now.

June July and August cars have some odd date coded parts. Normally, things are getting shut down for the model changeover. Because Camaro and Corvette production extended to Nov. and Dec. respectively, there are some oddities. 8L distributor is definitely not normative, but being a June car, not impossible.

Here's the reply I got to my question.
Hey Jon, Thanks for asking about the part no.'s. I have pulled the listing temporarily until I can get the part numbers for both the cam and the vac advance. I'm away on vacation until the Aug 4th. I don't want to sell and give the wrong answers. I've got 8 request and all in reference to those part no's. I've questioned my dad and he says it's all original. But what does that mean..? so when I get back in town I'm going to check to make sure and update with pic and the ad if needed. Thanks again Guess there may be more and better pictures if / when it comes back.

Yes I have seen a few 9C4 480's in the past. And I believe they were originals. |

Boy, 7 months apart seems like a real stretch. I'd like to hear from some of the expert on this. |
