What color is it? I can't view it.
They made about 1,000 Hemi RRs so it's hard to pin down without color and bodystyle (especially a hardtop). |

![]() I think that color's called Ivy Green in Mopar talk? He's going to have a tough time w/o any as raced pics but good luck! ~ Pete

Here's a pic he posted of the car, along with the only pic of anything from it's race heritage.

![]() Note it's got a B-Pillar so an RM21J9 Vin. If you get close, someone may remember the 'swing out' rear side glass compared to a hardtop w/ roll up glass? ~ Pete

I recall my cousins 68 383 post RR. It had an interior that would have been fitting to the quality for a taxi cab..... and just about as luxurious.

Doh! I was thinking of a '68, as the Hemi hardtops are much rarer than the posts. In '69, they're a couple hundred each.

I asked around about that car, and was told to check for clues at motion dragway in IL, it should have ran there in the mid 80s from what I heard. There is actually quite a bit of footage at this dragstrip from back in the day, maybe he can find some folks that remember the car.
Its nice to know what these cars looked like back in the day, but I doubt he would put it back that way, considering how nice it looks now. Some footage starts later in the attached clip, you can see some big body mopars...(like check out around the 4:40 mark, as example, not sure if that is a hardtop, then near the end, there is a tail shot of I think a road runner for a split second). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hjec99HiP60 |
