Hi folks,
Can any of you ID this emblem? I was told it was some sort of prototype. It has been 'mounted' so I cannot check the rear face for a part number. Thanks! ![]() |

I couldn't find anything that looked like this from 50s-60s trucks but I appreciate the guesses...any other thoughts?

My guess is Chevrolet Impala SS prototype emblem from late 1950's. Looks the part and the cross flags were just coming into favor.

Looks like it was 'inspired' by the 50s Alfa Romeo emblems....

Too early for the "SS" designation. The first "super" nomenclature I know of from Chevy began with a '58 Chevy and a "Super Turbo Thrust" 348 motor. Perhaps they were thinking of designating that on the fender? Chevy always liked to have something unique on the fender or the hood badge to designate a 6 from a 283 or a W motor.
